Midstride Crisis

The Project

Midstride Crisis is the brainchild of Mikko Väärälä, the drummer and composer from the Finnish prog group Viima.

His cross-genre based music draws inspiration from unlimited variety of styles. Seeping with cinematic moods and soundscapes the stories are derived from areas such as sci-fi, pop culture and everyday life.

Mikko Väärälä has a long history as a crossover multi-instrumentalist musician and as a composer working with multiple music styles such as rock, ethnic and classical as well as contemporary dance choreographies and theater, circus and short movies.
